A New Reader

My heart has swelled with pride over a new literary conversion.  Ethan, my 7 yr old, has morphed into a full fledged, passionate, devoted ALL THE TIME reader.  His nose is suddenly not visible to the rest of the family, as it is always in a book.  “CHAPTER books,” as he will proudly tell anyone who manages to capture his attention away from the latest Mary Pope Osbourne tale.

Oooh, it’s sweet thing to see!

Congrats on the book, Kelsey. I can’t wait to read it!

My oldest three are all reading now, and what a difference that makes in the chaos of our household! Bedtime is a breeze, since we just send them up with their books and reading lights and…. zzzzzzzz.

Now if only the 5 year old and 3 year old would hurry up already.
